[ QUOTE ] Looks pretty cool for the most part. Like Arsh said though, the environment quality is really inconsistent, some of the textures are very nice, while some look almost like placeholders. Also the style on some of the environment textures is drastically different to the fairly realistic look of the characters. Some…
I would appreciate if anyone can help with advice and suggestions to make this scene better. Th scene is mostly lit with skylight , directional light, hdri and tweaks in the post process volume. I have gotten pretty close to my reference image but i feel something can be worked on to make it better- just cant point out…
Hi everyone, I am modelling quite a cool and different looking Lego house for my portfolio but am unsure how to approach certain areas and need some advice. The house has some cracks in it parts of it which have curved bricks. I have highlighted these parts in red. I am not sure whether to model these into the structure,…
Hello all. I'm trying to use a pattern that feeds into the Distance node that feeds into the Edge Detect node so I can control the edge width and roundness. However, often times I run into this problem where the Distance node creates these squiggly borders that Edge Detect will pick up and they are no longer the desired…
Finally got enough time post vacation to get some progress together. Unfortunately the trim sheet idea I had didn't have nearly enough utility in practice  So I've taken a step back and I'm trying to see if I can re-purpose some of the already sculpted bricks into shapes I had planned to UV them to and then baking…
Hey TriPunk! Great start to your environment. It would be great to see any inspirations or examples of what you want your final outcome to be. The two big things standing out at the minute is that your bricks are too big, and that corner pieces are generally solid pieces of concrete (though I am making an assumption I…
Well, A. where the lowpoly bricks are touching/intersecting, you're going to get errors projecting the detail, that should explain all of the problems in those areas. Generally when baking a mesh like this you need to "explode" or seperate each chunk in both the high and the low, so you dont get intersecting problems.…
Hey, looking good! Here’s some things I’d mention; With the brick house, you have grey plaster. It’s really
weird thinking that they would put plaster on the outside of brick. If they did
that, then the plaster has worn away so much, but the rest of the house doesn’t
look old enough for the plaster to have warn away this…
Do you have reference for this project? There are a few things that stand out to me with this at the moment. 1) either your lighting is set up strangely, or your green channel your normals is inverted, since light is hitting all of the bricks from below. 2) The white paint material is blending in a very strange manner. It…
I understand, although there is nothing more personalized then your own site which has style, it can help you tremendously. It's like this, suppose you stare at a brick wall which contains over four hundred bricks, now I told you one of the walls has a small 1"x"1 inch black X on it; the odds are it's not going to be…
