The bean, normally used for gestures, is used to show movement and twist in the torso. For a bind-pose that's not always a good idea. Make sure your neutral stance looks relaxed and natural, you can let the rig take care of the bean shape.
What is the topology like? Do you have enough geo to support the deformation? Looking at the other arm in neutral state the lats appear to be joined to the biceps in a strange way. Shoulders/hips are most tricky areas. As mentioned, a tradeoff is often required.
I've just realised something... A lot of what they showed in that vid was 'live', as in, info being fed in from the Internet. With the recent bombing of Net Neutrality I wonder how much *access* to the information those little tools use will suffer as a result....
The white is a little bit too strong and washes out a lot details. So if you really want to test normal maps, go for a more neutral lighting. And for good and quick color selection decisions I would take a good screenshot to photoshop and play around a little bit.
in the past few weeks I've seen 3 portfolios here that used this exact same, awful, layout. Did you all go to the same school or something? Simplify this to a small gallery of 6-10 of your best works, contact info and resume on a neutral background. Nothing else.
Hey Lucas - I feel like I will get these larger, sculpted forms back when I properly light my scenes. Right now it's all in a lookdev environment with the most neutral light possible. I'm aware of the clipping - it's such an easy fix that I put it off fixing :)

Hey, I've been wondering what the best topology for a tube cap or a circle in general is. I have searched the web of course, before coming here, but I didn't really find a correct answer. A lot of websites suggest different things, so I'm kinda confused  This is what I currently have.
Actually already did something about the spikes. Changed the spikes to be neutral. Now got to ask, by overlay cour cavity is that the name of a material or smart material i could use and by edges to mean all the edges. Here is how the changes for the spike made
I'm not worried. Even if it passed through Congress, the President has already said he'll veto it. Checks and balances 4TW, etc. http://thehill.com/blogs/hillicon-valley/technology/192349-obama-threatens-to-veto-resolution-repealing-net-neutrality-rules
