Hey, I've been wondering what the best topology for a tube cap or a circle in general is.
I have searched the web of course, before coming here, but I didn't really find a correct answer. A lot of websites suggest different things, so I'm kinda confused

This is what I currently have.

I find that it supports the shapes, without showing that gross pole pinching/fanning you sometimes get, if you don't have the support loop.
But as skyline said, there's a million ways to do it, and a bunch of different situations where one may be better than the other. There was a thread recently about it, actually, now that I think of it: http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2533317/#Comment_2533317
I mean for both. A highpoly which gets baked onto a lowpoly.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that thread
