I'm jumping into setting up some hot keys for my UV Tools, and was wondering if anyone has experience doing this? I could use some pointers on a hot key for 'align UV' tool! I'll post here again when I figure it out, thanks!
So i've seen a few tutorials and what not that for unwrapping their UV's in maya they installed a new toolbar for bonus tools which had an auto unwrap uv tool. I was just wondering if it's worth it to get, or it was just an older version of maya and there is something better out in the newer versions (i'm on 2015). Thanks!
Can I ask what tools people are using to do their vertex normal weighting in Maya. There are a few old threads and really old bits in the wiki with broken links and struggling to find much out there on the world wide web about what is the best way of getting any kind of decent results. Looks like there is some pretty good…
Hi All. I was wondering is it any option to rotate knife rectangle mask in zbrush. I will try to explain it better Here I have a knife rectangle tool, I want to rotate it, so it is cutting in an angle what I am asking is it any option to use a gizmo tool on a mask to just simply rotate it? Thank you for help. +1
not sure about it being a bug. The tranform constraints I don't believe are associated with the move/scale/rotate tools directly. I think they are connect to the selection tool, even though they work across the board with many tools. So perhaps resetting the selection tool ( 'Q' key) would reset those transform…
Does anyone know why Interactive Split tool won't create edges? This is what it originally looked like: I heard that when the lines converge to the center like that bakes don't look as good as it would if the edges where like this: (this is what I am trying to achieve) However, when I used the interactive split tool and…
searched all over and I can't find a way to change the color of the default spline tool? I got a dark grey background and the spline tool is dark grey so its super hard to see where I have placed lines before the spline is completed thanks in advance guys!
So basically I am looking for a tool with some easy to use box modeling, which I'd then use mostly for paintovers in PS or some light sculpting. I've had some experience with 3dsmax and maya in the past, but those tools are far too expensive (and too much!) for what I plan to use them for. Suggestions?
Greetings! I have been assigned to a VR project that is going to have highly optimized breakable houses, and I'm really having trouble finding a good tool for this. Currently, I'm doing this entirely manually by creating boolean after boolean, and it's the slowest process in the world, plus stray vertices in Maya are…
It might be easier to think of it in terms of categorizing the tools and then making a hierarchy of those lists. Sculpting: -Zbrush -Mudbox etc etc SubD: -Max -Maya -Modo etc etc Texturing: -Photoshop Generic Texturing: -Substance -Ddo -lol joking Texture Supplementary tools: -NDo -DDo -Substance -Crazybump etc etc Baking…
