***LATEST PROGRESS*** Colors! Hey everyone! I've been lurking here for a long time, thoroughly enjoying all the amazing art I've seen. This is my first thread I've ever made myself, so hopefully it'll be up to par. Anyway, I've been working on a little side project lately and I thought I'd start posting my progress here.…
Greetings! New guy here so feel free to bully me! I'm 33 years old and currently have a full time job as a mechanical engineer (already have a degree). I'm working with CAD programs for 8 years now, but unfortunately i'm not very happy with my field. Last year i started some modeling with blender and i must say i'm excited…
This is literally curvature of the surface, so it does show you the polygons. In case of subdiv HP models, I prefer to increase iterations up to 3 to bump up an overall amount of polys. In case of sculpted stuff either play with the sampling radius or decimate less if using decimation master in ZBrush.
Nope this not working, I think that easier way to fix that problem would be to export model to other software that is more dedicated to hard surface, but still sort of dissapointing that such simple task cannot be done in some simple steps in program that is 20+ yrs old. Thank you for your time Fabi.

I was looking into what to do with them, since I also felt that they aren't very cohesive with the body when it comes to quality. For my portfolio overall, I'm now focusing on hair creation, so I will take up changes to the clothing and armor after.…
Hi One thing I'd love to learn is how exactly to make a Fuzz map for clothing. I did a Google search, but nothing useful has come up. It looks to be something useful to include to help make my clothing look more like clothing. To include some, well, fuzz lol. What is the best workflow for this? Is it just a case of adding…

This challenge is a way for real-time 3D artists to test their skills and create a piece of work based on concepts provided. It's open to those of all skill levels and we do our best to provide meaningful…
it works ok only in rare cases where photo resembles heigh info . Something taken at overcast sky and more or less color even . In all other cases such normal maps look awful when light angles are sharp to surface . Adobe Sampler have AI that could try to guess height info but it works more or less fine for those cloudy…
