Hello it might seems like a stupid question but I cant code Python in maya 2016 LT. Do you have any Idea how i can open the python tab in the script editor? i'm not a scripter I just need it to launch something. thanks

I tried switching to legacy actually but apparently directx9 rendering is completely broken and xoliul wont work at all even if you install it. Sadly I have 2015 not 2016 so stingray isn't an option.
For whatever reason I get frequent TDRs in Maya 2016; some are fatal, some aren't. I have my TdrDelay set to 10 seconds so most don't brick my application but it gets pretty annoying. I started to notice this after upgrading to Windows 10. Has anyone else experienced this?
Scanline is fine. Mental Ray in 2012 is fine. (but unfortunately, neither of these help with baking down PBR) Vray in 2012, 2014 has this issue. Mental Ray in 2017 has this issue. I can't quite believe that Normal Maps cannot work properly in a simple RTT setup. Has anyone had similar issues? Thanks for helping Eric!

Hey all, I'm to blend two textures in Maya LT, for example, a brick texture and a dirt map texture. In full Maya I would use a Layered Texture node in hypershade but that node isn't present in Maya LT 2016. Any help?
