Frequent TDRs in Maya 2016

For whatever reason I get frequent TDRs in Maya 2016; some are fatal, some aren't. I have my TdrDelay set to 10 seconds so most don't brick my application but it gets pretty annoying. I started to notice this after upgrading to Windows 10.

Has anyone else experienced this?

    I figured I'd update this thread in case anyone else runs into this problem. It appears there is a GPU driver issue with the r9 2xx series and Maya 2016 in Windows 10. Reverting to windows 7 fixed the problem perfectly. The problem may have been specific to the OpenGL implementation in Maya 2016 ( I can't say for sure since I never used the DX11 one) so its worth giving the DX11 shader a shot if you are encountering this problem and don't want to revert if possible.
