Zirak Zigil, or Durin's tower, is the highest peak of Moria, where Gandalf defeated the Balrog. Any crits and comments are welcome here are some quite early WIP shots:
I know there's really no wrong way to make something look futuristic, but this is my first go with futuristic stuff and as well as no concept. It's all about me using my artistic license, which is a lot more daunting with 3d modeling then it is 2d. Thanks!
I often come across interesting photos of places/buildings from around the world while on stumble and the like. I'm not an environment artist, but I thought I'd share what I find, and you guys can too :) . Apologies if there is a thread like this already, I searched. *EDIT* Post a teaser pic! ;) *…
Looking over on Artstation and I came across the bugs from Firefall. So I decided to do a rough sculpt of a similar bug but with nothing specific in mind. The main concept art I am basing this off of is Alex Heath's piece below.…

(once I figure out how to use it)
Hi! I've started a new piece and it's going to be an environment this time. My goal is to learn more about UE4, so the final would obviously be done in there. My aim for quality is something like THIS and THIS, so get your whips out and let me know where I need to push myself. I'm yet to pick a concept to go after (open to…
Still have to do ground textures, a ton of shader work, and finalize lighting and composition. Getting the material definition in Unreal as clear as in the 3Do previewer has been a struggle. I have a thread in Technical Talk where I got the worst of it sorted out, but it's still not quite there: At least part of it is…
