Hello all, I'm new to lighting and I'm having an issue with light bleeding through to the interior of this room. Does anyone know what causes this? I thought it might be an issue with the thickness of the walls, but I gave them some thickness and didn't see any differences. Any help would be appreciate, thanks!
Anyone know how you could make a blueprint where wherever a point light shines, a portal is created on the floor/wall/etc. What I am trying to achieve is: a light source that whatever it touches becomes a portal. (But only within the light attenuation/cone of light) When out of the attenuation/cone of light the the…
Since last time I've spent a lot of time tweaking and re-tweaking the fog and added some ground fog for some added atmosphere. I had a big problem with not being able to get enough moonlight on the house whilst also getting enough moonlight on the rest of the scene. Someone I showed this to said I needed more light on the…
Hi, my fellow PCer's. I've been doing some trial and error to figure this out but failed to find an answer to this lighting problem in matinee. The…

Strangely, the majority of my studio prefers our lights on. Florescent lights... We also have huge windows that let a ton of light in. My eyeballs are bleeding! Any suggestions? I'm considering wearing a sombrero to shield the light.
I am having all kinds of headaches getting the lighting / shadowing on dynamic objects to be decent in UDK. If I use any flavor of Directional light, I get weird "cross hatchy" shadows with artifacts popping up at certain angles. If I use Spot or Point lights the shadows are correct, but the shadows cover my model's…

Hello! So, I'm working on a mesh that is massive and will need to be animated. The problem I'm noticing right away is the lighting of the mesh. How it handles lighting is not up to par. Either it's completely black (unlit) or completely lit, as if it's accepting light from a specific spot on the skeletal mesh. What I need…
