sacboi - Thanks for the comments! :) So your two questions, how i create welds and part numbers on the wheels Welds: 1- I create an editable spline manually or use the "Create Shape from Selection> Linear" in the Editable poly modifier which is basically the shape of how i want the weld seam to run along the model. 2- I…
I'll preface my comment by saying that I'm more of an environment artist than a level designer, so what works for me, may not work for somebody that's trying to quickly iterate elements for the purpose of actual gameplay based level design. The short answer is you can use houdini engine to make both procedural/parametric…
Looking for VFX Artist familiar with Unity. We have a shield hit and shield break vfx but it needs to be polished. Please reply or DM with relevant experience. Thank you.
Weird ass shotgun is weird. I'm not sure how the action works, but its a break open barrel that then sucks another shell in through the side after the first is ejected out the bottom. So your second shell is stored outside the gun, I thought it was kinda cool and that's why I chose it. I'm been working on it, on and off…
Any feedback/critique is welcomed. Can't seem to get any on other places/platforms. This is for my ArtStation Challenge, hope its ok posting it here. The theme is Space Opera for those unaware. Got any cool ideas? Throw them as well. What do you guys think of the overall composition? Lighting i feel its fine BUT definetly…
Thanks all for the responses. Yes, I am a fan of all of the stuff also but I've been struggling with wanting to use unique props or to use a bunch of instances instead. It seems that it will be what is best permitted by time, although I will try and use as many instanced objects as possible. Drying the towel on the lamp…
I bought mine direct from Sager, its a different model though (NP7330), I have no experience with that particular model. Of course, my opinion is an extremely small sample size, but these sort of custom laptops are just ridiculously cheaper than name brand laptops with similar specs, and the cost reduction has to come from…
.. one last comment before I head to sleep: Communism as a theory and ideal works just about as well as any pure theory. In groups of about up to a few hundred you can hold it together, but at a certain critical mass of humans, our less than idealistic traits come to light and tend to trash the ideal system into something…
hah..you actually made mention of like...my crappiest prop I'm actually working right now to replace a few things in my spare time. I can't show anything I'm doing at work...which pretty much smokes all my stuff in my portfolio, so I gotta come up with some stuff that's gonna be replacing a few of my props As for your…
From this point forward I would consider the mirror tool, the work of the devil unless you plan to flip everything you mirror at the time you mirror it (which can be scripted). I personally love symetry since it welds and mirrors without flipping. You can also go back down in the stack to Edit Poly, turn on Show End Result…
