Ray Tracing and Facial Expression with Wrinkle Maps: Hey Folks, So I was able to hook up the additional Wrinkle Maps to the skin material in Unreal Engine and this is what it looks like: I added a 'BlendAngleCorrectedNormals' to blend between Wrinkles and then in the event graph from the animation blueprint, i blended…
So I'm trying to branch out into env stuff. Gonna do a real simple building and put it into udk (heavily based on a house near me). 3ds max atm. Here's the first modular piece I have done, 512x512 & 116 tris. Too much?
Heyho  I got a task where I have to use a non-uniform texture (2048x1024) and bringt it to Unreal. Unfortunately there is not too much documentation about that, so I pulled out the good old cube for testing: Here's my UVlayout (using the -1 to 1 space, so it's double in width), and below my beautiful testing…
Hello! I'm in the process of making my second character model. Taken a lot of mistakes and learning to get to this point. I've been stuck on something the past few days though, and I'm unsure whether I'm doing something wrong or if I misunderstand the process. I got a sculpt close enough, then moved to Blender for…
OK, got one solution. Add the twister bone as you have done, then assign a Look At Constraint to its rotation with Keep Initial Offset checked, and pick the Biped's toes. Link it to the leg. Now when you pivot the foot, it should turn. This what you were shooting for?

Really like the stuff you've done so far. You said you like the lighting. I don't to be honest, and I don't think you should follow it. It works in the movie because we know we're going to see Davy Jone's environment beforehand. Looking at just that pic, I can hardly tell what it is. I think you should push for something…

blueprint in unreal is a really great tool , the node workflow just like SD and
maya's hypershade , it just makes thing organized , I'll keep digging the power of unreal engine. If you have some advise free to leave the comments .…
Hi I did try asking this on the Polycount Discord, but didn't get a response. I was just wondering if anyone knows of or can recommend any alphas for adding tertiary details for bones? I guess the easiest option is to manually sculpt, but that would take some time. If there are any good bone-like alpha packs out there that…
After a very long month I finally completed the Simon Fuchs's course. It gave me a lot. I've never done any texturing, lightning or hard-surface in Zbrush. It also showed me how a game workflow looks like. This course is really 10/10 for me. Since this is new for me, I'm sure there will be some mistakes. Any C&C are very…
