painted edges (bricks, roof tiles) are too thin and it causes two problems: - textures look really flat. - when scaled, they start look all jaggy and pixelated. also, you might want to get rid of pure black color in your textures. its unnatural, and shouldn't be used on hand-painted stuff.
Only two crits. The shoulders, which were already mentioned, and the wing membranes which have quite some wasted texture space. I'm thinking this would be a cheap, simple fix: Saves a whopping 24 polygons too! ;) You might also want to check your alphamaps, or the engine - the transparency is acting up.
Update. Added in two textures for the desks and filing cabinets, and messed about with lighting some more. The geometry of the desks needs to be changed a bit on reflection, as it is hanging a bit too low. Tomorrow, I'll texture the ceiling pipes and add more meshes to the scene. Crit away as usual, every little help makes…
i never had a problem with "cute" look of the nintendo .. if people are pretending to be too cool for nintendo games then i guess they are seriously missing out .. they always think design and function first before everything.. although if this is true then it's a bit of a letdown that revolution wont be as powerfull as…
Two things that stood out to me now are the thumbs and the ankles. The thumb has a wierd bend to it and the ankle has too much slope at the front of it. The eyes could also use some texture luvin. Just more detail in the iris and some redness at the outer areas of the white. The recent improvements are much better though
I get home from work at 6:30 pm. If it weren't for daylight savings, I'd never get any Spring yardwork done. All you guys who get angry about it for two whole weekends a year, get over yourselves. You probably hate Leap Year, too. /jzero
Well there are no shortage of veterans in America in your own age range Oxy. It wouldn't surprise me If there were one or two on polycount. The imminent Battlefield2 depicts war NOW as it is happening in the Middle East, so yeah, I'd be curious too, to hear what somebody recently returning from fighting in Iraq felt about…

This is the idea that I have worked on as a part of my Masters course in Game Art & Design, with a project deadline of August 21st 2024. I always enjoyed working on both the equipment and characters, and the…
Scene I put together for an art test for Camshaft Software (Camshaft gave me permission to post this) I had a lot of fun making this, any crits welcome :) Here you can see how the fresnel effect is used to dull-out the displays. the oscilloscopes fade out, the table LCD has a low field of view, and the CRT displays have a…
