Thanks for all the replies thus far, guys. It really does help. I've attached my first test image using Marmoset. I know there are some issues with the texture along the side of the guitar, I may try to go back and redo the unwrap on this one. This is a guitar model I already had textured with a diffuse. I added a spec and…
The textures are not stretched. Can you just have a checkerbox texture and use it as the model in UE4 as then you see it isn't stretched. Note, two of the sides of the pillar are a bit longer, than the rest in the UV space. Also, you should consider getting marmoset and using that. I don't know why you are learning how to…
cool that's nice concept. yea but one suggestion, i think remove GDC San Francisco form the front just put it at back only. At front its looked very clutter let it be simple and your let concept highlighted. Change the color of marmoset logo & GDC on black T-shirt. put the original color of marmoset logo color in tint…
Final result of my project created for ArtStation Challenge 'Medieval: Back and Forth'. Presented in Marmoset Toolbag 4, with some post-processing done in Photoshop. Except for the pants, all cloth was sculpted from scratch. HP Breakdown - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/LRl1Q0 Concept by Yuhong Ding
Nice piece. Overall nice to look at. Your topology is good but your 4 edges chamfer could be more optimized. Two edges is enough and let the normal map do the rest. Also your Marmoset viewer is to shiny, like the case was varnished. I would suggest to increase the roughness.
Mammut Tank Head Redeploy #hardsurface #mech #weaponized I revisit the model, fix the low/high poly, proper (sort of) Uv, bake and texture in subtance and render in Marmoset
The thing is that cutting of the search distance is giving a 'false' result, while what is needed is a different curve on the black and white transistion Here you can see that its a really big difference in quality: (Default, Photoshopped default, cutoff) From my knowledge is my photoshopped version closer to ground truth…
Hi guys, I've just applied to a few companies (one of the many) with my current portfolio pieces and I wanted to get an insight of what people like and dislike about my portfolio, I'm open to critiques (go easy :) )) and I'm not sure what expectations I should expect other than being turned down multiple times (Que sera…
Thank you. I made the effect in Marmoset an using emissive property, so I'm going to have to experiment. What sort of method would you use to achieve that effect?
Hey Oni - I hear ya. I'm sure that will change when it has a diffuse and spec map. I'm only displaying normals in this shot (with a general spec setting in Marmoset).
