Fantastic. I love it. But pastey white bumpkins don't come in hair-less varieties. This dude needs a good layer of man fur! Also, looks like too much volume loss on the bent arm. For the purpose of a posed render, you could probably just adjust the vertices themselves to save time over weight painting, assuming you made a…
you can delete the faces inside of sleeves, cloths etc if the cloths will always be visible. a little overlap can prevent seeing through the gaps between separate meshes. you can combine the meshes along with the skin weights. but boolean operation will break the vert order which will break the skin weights. any mesh…
In this case I did the variation by hand, but I think you could easily do this with a procedural noise deformer. Just be careful to make sure those gaps between stones aren't destroyed by that. Depending on your 3d-software you could probably mask some vertices to not be affected by any deformer. Thanks! Haha, thank you!…
Thanks @zachagreg i really appreciate it! Baked the barrels. I used 32 sides cylinders to get crisp normals at all angles: I managed to get a nice fused effect without having to merge the meshes and connect the vertices: This is the low on top of the high poly. I just made sure that they share the same name (so that the…
Number 1 piece of advice.....don't bake in Zbrush. It uses its own native tangent space and the quality is inferior. Number 2 piece of advice.....don't bake this at all. A much better way is to create a tiling vine pattern normal map and map your vines tiling vertically. The added benefit is that you have infinite uv space…
It looks like you dont use smoothing. I dont know how to work in blender, in 3ds max you choose polygon selection, and go to smoothing groups, select polys and use the same smoothing group to make edges round, and different smoothing groups to sharpen the edges(smth like weapon blades). It looks like you didnt weld your…
I like the colors and overall style, but for me there is a disconnect between the middle and background (value and perhaps also perspective wise). There is a harsh value difference between middle and background and almost no value change within the backgound. So to me it almost looks like a painted vertical canvas placed…
Main problem i see with what you've got is it needs to be smoothed out, and they look squished vertically. heres that model, ill try and upload a copy of it too sometime so you can check it in 3d. I know i have a .rar SOMEWHERE but i dont have access to the PQ ftp here at work, will have to check when i get home in a few…
@Ruflse Cutting it as you suggested worked :) Thanks sooo much, it's been driving me crazy for a few days now. I still don't understand why when I follow the tutorial it doesn't work however and why he seems to get the same result with just the two cuts - one along the edge I mentioned earlier and the vertical one around…
Normal Map Functions PS Actions few things it does: - rotate clock wise - rotate counter clock wise - flip horizontal - flip vertical works on an entire document (layer), or a selection. recommend pulling the selection off of your main layer first (ctrl j). think it goes channel to channel, not channel to layer, don't have…
