hey dustingbrown :) Thanks for your input! As for the jacket, the material is a the windbreaker, I do own one like that(living in Ireland, rain and wind is one of the things that I have to live with :P ). I do know that you're right about using MD as a start in learning about clothing, but I couldn't really find any good…
I doubt there is a single simple pathway for this. MD's animation is handled via simulation. So to get the same clothing animation you'd need to either 1: export the mesh and bring it into unreal as a PhysX clothing asset, and let Unreal do the simulation. (which will work with varying degrees of success), or 2: Export…
During these past few months been working on this diorama trying to expand my understanding in props and environment design. Modeling in maya, sculpting in Zbrush, fabric simulation in MD, baking in marmoset, texturing in SP/Photoshop. Please check the Artstation page to preview the scene in marmoset viewer:…

fuse in #md pointed this out. http://www.steampowered.com/ati_offer1a/ Free HL2 Lost Coast, and HL2:DM for ATI customers. I don't see any fine print. Not sure if they mean you're eligible for a limited time, or if you can play for a limited time. This may mean it's possible to play DM, and all of it's mods (like…
I'm guessing I was either crunching the university computer to get my final animation piece finished, rushing around the country interview videogame company MDs for my dissertation, or trying to make ends meet by working in the local industrial laundry. Oh, and downloading Q2 models from q2pmp a couple of weeks later
Yeah, i saw this a while back and spooged all over #md about it. I personally *did like the second half of 28dayslater, shockingly enough, and i have faith that this one'll turn out good as well. Even if it doesn't though, zombie-movies need to try VERY hard, should they want to dissapoint.
ACME Brick Designer http://www.acmebrick.com/md/index.htm Great little program for laying down a base image of bricks and then building up your texture from there after in PS. Possible to set amount of rows of bricks, change mortar colour and brick style. Some great little apps here people, cheers.
2. Adjustyour MD material presets. from what I've noticed, certain presets don't really read as advertised. You also need to do you own adjustment. 3. Do a slight shell extrusions http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/File:Fluffy-fur-breakdown.jpg or do small fly away cards of fuzz
I could definitely see a point in having some sort of dedicated place for MD-related matters, as a few questions seem to come back regularly (how to flip a part, how to inflate/deflate seams, and so on). Maybe this could be a good candidate for a sticky thread at the top of tech talk ? Also : thread thumbnails !
