The noise from fans is solved buying better fans. Hds noise may be due to a cheap unit?, vibration is usually the main problem with hds. You can have an excellent hd making noise is the case where you got it, is one very bad with vibration. Good hds does not make noise at all, and almost all are under 29db. I own a zotac… -

This can be due to the highpoly faces being backward, and can happen in some software if you mirror elements by using negative scaling.
