allaze-eroler: The android market is really interesting, and like Hawken said, unity also works with android. Android support for Unity is 1500$ though, hopefully that will be possible in the near future :) sltrOlsson: Glad you're having fun with it! Hehe, that's a tricky one. Here's a hint: You need red light... ;)
of course will buy a one year mac store subscription, i didn't like the ruby solution, native is excellent, even if i can make apps in unity, i don't like my app size to be topped by 7 mega bytes of unity engine. the last link didn't work.
I imagine most systems would just be parenting the gun to the character's hand bones. And I believe this can also be done in Unity if you didn't want to do it in Max, might be better to do it in Unity so you can make adjustments based on any scripting that may be done.
You're best using FBX as a format, not OBJ. OBJ doesn't store any material information, that's stored in a separate MTL file that I don't think Unity imports. Import your textured into Unity first and then import your model and it should pick up and apply most of the textures correctly.
dv8ix: download unity, make a model, import into unity and see what it does...you will see what everyone is talking about. Also, you seem very defensive about this; chill out and realize people aren't saying you're stupid, just misunderstanding this concept. They're trying to help:D
Team Name: Scripting Fire Team Logo: Project Name: Tank Up Brief Description: Tank Up is a feature rich Tank VS Tank shooter. There is no "campaign" to it as it is purely multiplayer. More info/features coming soon. We will have updates posted to our website more than this thread if you are truly interested in Tank Up's…
Assets from ADAM Episodes 2-3 from Unity and Oats Studios are free, size: 7.4 GB [unzipped] / Windows DX11 only https://blogs.unity3d.com/es/2018/04/11/assets-from-adam-episode-2-and-3-now-available-for-creators-to-explore-on-the-unity-asset-store/
I would think it will be similar to their current licensing fees. A scaling percentage based on sales. For beginning developers I think it's much better than the 2200 it costs for Unity up front. Although if you make the next Angry Birds in UDK, the Unity deal would probably look rather attractive!
I was going to say in Unity I also animate the Root controller, generally do a loop and then time the translation. Unity has built in Foot IK as well so that helps make the cycle look even better. When doing a piece directly in Maya I don't use the root controller.
I've been able to fix this in my rig and in some dark settings in Unity, but now I have something else to fix in an other file: I want to export a kind of cloth simulation from Maya in fbx for Unity, but still can't make it. Anybody knows how could I do this?
