Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my latest game-ready character model — a vampiress inspired by traditional geisha aesthetics mixed with insect-like features for a unique fantasy horror vibe. This project was created while I was studying at 3DSense Media School. I focused on keeping a clean topology and optimizing the…
This week, I decided I'm not going to draw a head on nights after gym anymore. I get home at 10 PM on those days, at which point I still have to shower and prepare food for the next day. Sleep deprivation was hitting me hard, which just isn't conducive to deliberate practice. As for the art itself, I feel like I hit a bit…
1: Has the artist stated their intent? i.e. Stylized realistic hand painted hunter, Post Apocalyptic Scifi PBR Environment, etc. This is the most important question IMO. Telling someone that the eyes are too big when they're sculpting a PowerPuff Girl is misguided and a waste of time. 2: What are the trying to…
I was just scrolling through the thread and figured I'd put my two cents in here, I actually said the same thing to another user in a different thread here if you want to read my reply to them http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2504057/#Comment_2504057 But to TL;DR This character has come a long way since the start so…
The result of todays effort. I took the advice of learning / studying the planes of the face and went with it. The skeleton diagram above was really helpful. I know I still need more work though. Any advice thus far? Tomorrow I plan to study the planes more so and study muscle / bone structure further.
Your post has been here for a bit and it hasn't got any response. There are things that can assist you. The wiki has everything you need, and a whole lot more: wiki. I put some stuff below that might help. 1/ Anatomy: That is really the first thing with figures. A good practice is to start your model naked so you can…
Hey all, I'm a old time lurker round these parts. Always loved the community and often come here to gasp in awe at the work produced and revel in the productivity in the community. I used to do a lot of digital art a few years back but unfortunately RL, and full time job and such had cruelly taken me away from it :( . For…
Greetings all, I have been teaching myself how to design in 3D for the past 2 years, (mostly as a hobby) but I now find myself pouring almost all my waking hours into it. I would say that I have some intermediate knowledge but lack the skill to implement that knowledge so it all boils down to practice and repetition for…
Hi all! For the past 2 years in my own time, I've self-taught from Youtube and forums all around the internet. I feel like I'm at a point where I want 'work' to build my own experience whether that be paid or unpaid. But I'm unclear where to go or where to start. At the start of this year I started a general ICT degree for…
