To be honest if I was to decide to do a site with scenes I would make thumbnails for each scene only. Each scene would have it's own page and that page would contain the textures and props used if the props were cool enough. That's how I would organize it
yeah the Tree of Life scene is a YTMND Skeet Skeet scene just waiting to happen. I loved it visually and really liked the Aztec and astronaut scenes. Everything else was a struggle to get through after a hard days work. Fell asleep 3 times. - BoBo
Yo, I find exporting and renaming objects and centering objects to 0 to be some of the more common things I do when getting stuff ready for the various projects. I didn't like the way MAX handled any of this stuff so I wrote a script www.envartist.com/MAXScripts/WDIScripts.ms to install: download and save to the following…
Hi guys. Just wanted to share a personal project of mine, a fantasy castle in Unreal Engine based on a concept by SnowSkadi: https://www.deviantart.com/snowskadi/art/White-Tower-69872081 This was my second time creating a scene in UE4. I'm still in the process of learning the great amount of features this engine can offer…
[LAST UPDATE] Hello everyone, It's been quite a while since I posted anything on Polycount. In fact I haven't posted anything since I entered the industry, which is totally not the right thing to do! I finally decided to start another project of my own and spend a little bit of time each day on it. It's not going at…
@Torch: Yeah, the scene was presented in marmoset toolbag 2. I'm not really sure on how long the scene took to make as I was juggling a few more stuff at the same time.. I'm sorry :( I'll see if I can put together some wireframes of the scene.
Thanks to all who posted, there's a lot to be learnt from these. It's probably a bit too much, but I'm asking anyway, anyone care to share a full environment scene? Either the complete game scene (Unity/UDK/Cry) or the Maya/Max scene. That would truly be awesome.
best way fixing something like that is: start with a new scene.. maybe just a box.. something that does export without error. Now add parts of your scene until the export crashes and try to figure out what part of the scene does crash the export.
Are you using a scene capture cube? I remember one time I was using one to capture the scene to make a cube map. I started having real fps issues after, and later I realised by default this captures the scene every frame by default.
UPDATE! So I did my blockout and here it is so far. Not much progress since my corner scene is due soon. Also, my wrist is slightly injured. But I'll get there! I'm actually excited for this scene and also excited to finish the corner scene. (:
