Looks like a solid base. However, IMHO the art assets look poor even for pixelart and while the character is walking it looks as if the translations are stuttering. It might be only in the video, though.
Also it depends on the artist's personal style of work. Someone prefers "pixelart"-style )) Others may find resolution independent texture painting better. Every man to his own taste.
Ah, sorry, I had gotten kinda used to the click-to-zoom functions on some pixelart forums. Here they are at 200%: Sizewise, they'll be about 1/6 the height of a DS screen (32px).
im looking for some feedback in a site design im working on, the threads and names are taken from PC (hope no one minds) This is not a replacement for polycount its a place of pixelart and chiptunes. i add the other pages as i complete them.
yeah, the castlevania 'cut-scene characters' have dripped into hohum anime, but the actual game art is some of the best pixelart ever made, and the gameplay is amazingly addictive--like a sidescrolling diablo. both of the games rock.
Here is the updated version of my little pocket console! Thanks to Candle for letting me use his pixelart, check out his games: https://candle.itch.io/ Sketchfab: https://skfb.ly/6AIyQ Feedback welcome : )
Some good overall 2D art resources here... composition, color theory, etc. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Concept_Fundamentals The first link here is full of great advice and examples http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/PixelArt
Hi there! Hope I can include WIPs of my current pixelart project too. Meanwhile, some sketches from e3 games and my first attempt of a portrait speedpaint with walter white from breaking bad. any feedback appreciated!
