I'll be doing a re-design of Deep Terror Thresh. The idea is that Thresh's dark magic has taken over the creatures of the deep sea and commanded them to reanimate his corpse and collect souls to serve the sea. Big fan of the game and the champion, so this should be fun! cheers! :) LATEST UPDATE: -SC
I'm pretty terrible when it comes to digital sculpting, especially with humanoid figures, but I'm trying to improve. I'm working on this creature design based on a Thark from Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars novels, and I need some general advice on how to proceed. Any suggestions on anatomy and stuff like that?
WIP Hi world, this is my Yakuza artwork, which I developed during my participation in the ArtStation challenge "Neo Tokyo: Exponential Reality" in the Film/VFX Character Art category (rendered). This experience was incredibly exciting and allowed me to navigate the entire 3D pipeline, from likeness sculpting, modeling, and…
I'm leaning toward the latter. He asked for a copy of Creator (presumably to crack it since it's not publicly available) and, in exchange, promised to "teach you how to use Creator". Which is all the more amusing considering I work with it on a daily basis.
Now that all the cloth has been done I exported them into Max 2010 where I skinned to my base character ready to be exported as fbx into character creator. Shots in Character Creator seeing how the cloth performed.
There are some sketches for a civil/military creature I'm doing during concept art lessons. First will be water searcher and carrier, and second will be aggressive mutant made for a fight. He is using a simple mechanism to inject powerful drug what makes animal even stronger and more aggressive.
Ohh!! That's very true! The scarf should have moved with the character to the floor faster. Ahh about the creature, that's very true too. I'll be more attentive about those details for future animations! Thank you so much for your feedback, it helps me lots!
I'm catching the tail-end of this week's theme, but it's a good opportunity to flesh out some animations for a model I've had sitting around a long time. It's a creature with unique body mechanics so I'd like to hear others' insights Here's the idle. [vv]136340992[/vv]
The coloration is odd - both the colors and the pattern. It doesn't really work for either camouflage or display. If basing it on a reptile, I'd pick a single species and try to apply its pattern. Stripes and spots are never random, but have evolved into specific patterns to either hide the creature or attract mates.
Congrats on finishing! He came out great; and good that you were able to use him as a platform to get some workflow practice. Always really liked Fizz. Considered doing him for the contest early on. Us sea creature entries gotta stick together, hah.
