Screenshot! You may be reffering to the extremely intense SSAO that's in UDK by default or I may be crazy. EDIT: Also, post in the UDK sub-forum, geez! :)
Not by default. You will probably have to check out highend3d.com and search for a planar script. I'm pretty sure one exists, but I don't have the details.
(Sorry if this has been answered before, but) Is it possible to render in Substance Painter with Iray and enabled opacity maps? Everything works ok in the default viewport, but opacity maps don´t work when switching to Iray. Is there a way to make it work? Thanks : )
Hey guys, Sometimes out of nowhere, some of my objects turn black on the default renderer. Anyone have any ideas of why this happens and steps that I can take to solve this issue? Look at the windshield in the image attached
I was wondering if it is possible to get good results with the current shader model for translucent materials if I want to make a plastic material for syringe and fluids. I've tried to play with the default glass material changine settings but results aren't good.
Hey guys, I scoured the internet and only found ways to reset all my tools and stamps in Mudbox. Is there a way to select a tool and only reset its settings to default without effecting any other tool? Thanks a bunch!
Smoothing entire mesh works ok for organic subjects or characters. Anything boxy shaped or just having close to 90 degree angle in between polygons would need either split/hardened edge or a geometry bevel/ chamfer with vertex normals slightly rotated to be perpendicular to adjacent bigger faces . It's called face…
maya has custom cages as well :) they are called envelopes. make sure to turn off "reset envelopes on bake" why that option is default, is absolutely beyond me
Did you end up fixing the light complexity visualiser? I've found that going to Show -> Use Defaults in the viewport tends to fix those sorts of issues.
