Hey everyone! I just started a new series on stylized 3D character creation, and this is the first part – modeling the head of a cartoon boy using 3ds Max. 🔧 Software: 3ds Max + V-Ray 🎯 Focus: Topology, Stylized Form, Rig Readiness 📽️ I recorded the full process and published it on YouTube:👉 [Modeling a Cartoon Boy's Head…
Hi everybody. I have a very persistent problem I seem unable to solve. I am working on a model and to save texture space I mirrored some parts. The process I follow in From Blender to Substance is: Unwrap and straightenmy UVs -> Apply my Mirror modifier -> Offset the position of the mirrored UVs by exactly one UV tile to…
The body for the most part is good. But only good. I dont want to tear it apart completely but the face needs a lot of work. Post some wireframs shots and i can give you more of a breakdown.. The proportions need work as well. her waist is extremely tiny. A lot of things need some more dfinition as well. Yeah wireframe…
1 - Become a better artist. Mainly 2d / traditional. 2 - Get myself a new job or start school. An occupation more or less. Not horribly worried on this part. There's always freelance and lifting rocks at the quarry. 3 - Get rich. 4 - Finish my bigger projects. First up. Sixties. 5 - Have an aaaaaaaaawesome…
That desk is probably the best one of its kind on the market (price wise). I bought the same one after realizing I couldn't afford to get the anthro cart I REALLY wanted. =] Lots of space, corner setup, height adjustable metal frame. The only cheap part is the desktop itself which is made of particle mush. But at least you…
I think the armor around the chest looks great. Basically everything above the knee looks really good and I think you could call it done but I think the ankles and feet could use a little love. The pant leg just ends and then there's these funky sneakers, the shoes/boots don't really feel like they're part of the piece…
The funny part was that flying from Paris to Newcastle I grabbed the man's head in the seat in front of me rather than grabbing the seat when we landed :) m4dcow yeah I am fairly big too so not much space on the long haul leg of the light from Seoul. Anyway I think I am just 'that guy' when it comes to flying. I drive a…
Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I'm just going to break it apart, a bit of a hassle trying to keep the parts organized, but that seems to be the best way to prevent transfer map degradation, which is an even bigger hassle to try and fix. Was just making sure there was no "quick fix" out there that I wasn't aware of.…
Thank you for your input everyone, I will take everything mentioned and make those changes:) and hopefully have an updated wip image by tonight or tomorrow. I agree about that pants also, figured it was really close to here private parts. Maybe to make it work, I could stretch the realism a little bit, slightly stylized.…
Hey, this is nice what I'm seeing. Though, I see the same "flaw" that others tend to do and that is the polycount of the throne. I can clearly see rough edeges on top of the throne (the metal part). I will always advise to turn up the geometry count so it doesn't look jaged like that. Apart from that, materials are pretty…
