Vase is most of the way there now I think, still need to tweak materials and such. I'm still not sure i've captured the iridescence properly, but without being able to go look at it again (being on the other side of the world) I may just have to settle. Hey to all, As the title says, is there a way to essentially use the edge of a mesh in order to use it rotate it or align to that edge. Think of UV mappings (like TexTools) Align function, but for a mesh in World space rather then local or working. Cheers in advance.

So it appears to me in my level here, that brushes are reflecting a cubemap in a certain direction... yet the static meshes appear to be reflecting in a different direction. You are going to model more things for the scene? for the desert caatinga or a little city like the ones that appears in "O Auto da Comparecida" (Brazilian) film? You can get a lot of the atmosphere, colors and composition looking into the local productions
3d coat got a huge improvements in sculpting recently. I can now call it full blown sculpting app. I actually prefer how its brushes feel and the freedom it gives with those local subdivision/decimation brushes.
