bricks are ace dude! question: are you using basic lighting at this point or are you vertex lighting it at the moment? Either way looking incredible and looking forward to more! (if you paint some more stones do a little vid of it , I always love to see peoples approaches to hand painted stuff :D )
metal slug is the best series of games evar... I like it but the leaves dont say metal slug to me. The strong black outlines on them and the bricks aren't really how teh environments in the games are. Try outlines using the same but darker color or something... I like what you are doing though!
I recommend going to a brick-n-mortar shop and actually trying them out. Earscrews are very subjective. If you're unscrupulous, leave the store and buy them online. Last year, one of the guys here bought these headphones for everyone at work. Nice. I like 'em. Cool cans btw hawken.
Hey guys, I have a brick sculpt I am working on (its not for a game asset) and its not set up for a x2 UV map. The texture resolution is 2426 x 3000; however it is tileable. Ideally I would use vertex paint to make buildings look different, but that would involve me vert painting a bunch of buildings, which is fine but a little time consuming... but I would get more variety…
@Lewist: Thanks! @Dwalker: Thanks for the feedback I definitely agree I could have included more color and variation to the base metals/bare metals. After playing with marmosets saturation settings, I saw that even boosted way up only the painted really changed. Other areas did as well, But very mildly. So your right, I…

Nice, that other Chris posted some good points before I was done writing. This is a pretty great level overall. I like the overall palette, feel, setting and soundtrack. The video itself: All of the best shots in this video don't have god-rays and are focusing on a visual point of the area. All of the god-rays shots are…
