I was surfing the 3d blogs and sites today and i stumbled upon some really coon news. For those interested, it seems that mR 3.8 will actually make it in all 2011 series and quite possibly iray too since it is included in mentalRay 3.8. Although it is categorically denied and refereed to as an"error" of the documentation.…
Having to rewrite half our studio tools because autodesk refuse to license us 2010 and forced us to upgrade to 2015 was a really fun, enjoyable and thoroughly productive experience. Not.
Or Max > Containers. 2010 and 2011 allow you to open the containers and edit the files locally without having to go back to the original file. Or what about using render presets?
Some wear and tear on the slide, grip and frame.. Nevermind the wonky normals.. somehow the viewport shader in max 2014 screws them up. they look nice in marmoset and max 2010
To be true if you are using the advantage package of 2012 and 2013 you got Turtle, best/fastest baker of nmaps and AO ever! (believe me, I tried all of 'em)
Januray 24, 2012 isn't it? that's only a month. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/12/20/1047309/-House-Judiciary-committee-postpones-SOPA-hearing,-again?detail=hide
No unfortunately that will be much slower than in 2016. :( I share your pain, I've had to do this kind of stuff during production quite a few times, when possible I usually try to do it in a dedicated retopo software instead (3D-Coat or Topogun or something). Still good that Maya 2016 has some good new tools for this kind…
I figured it out. I had to upgrade to 2019. That was the problem and I changed to Renderman when I did that. I was using 2014 where nothing works any longer.
Yes, I hear much talk about Silmarillion. Im not that fond of TV series, Im more a film guy. Maybe there will be some words on Tolkien stuff in 2017 or 2018.
Yeah, I have a GTX 670 and it froze Maya 2012 to death. I switched to 2013 to see if that would help and it did, I'm pushing plenty of polys with no problems whatsoever.
