Hi, My name is Jens Patteeuw, and I've started building a 1v1 map in UE4. In this thread I'll be sharing my work in progress of my level, which is called Facility 05. I will kick this thread off with a few blockout printscreens and a basic lighting setup. All feedback and comments are more than welcome. Friendly greetings,…
Hello everyone, I've found this beaut of a concept of a highly decorated Egyptian mirror, thought I'd go at it and turn it into a nice, realistic prop. Concept: Blockout mesh, ready for ZB sculpt. Going to work on the snakes and adding wear and tear. A lot of the surface detail I will add in Substance instead of sculpting…
Hey :) First post on the wondrous Polycount. This is a hard surface module for my uni course, im doing the main meet up room from Cowboy Bebop, here's the first blockout of the room in maya and once everything is nice and pretty, I'll have my first encounter with UE4. feel free to crit anything :)
Maybe I like punishment, I don't know... but here it is, a second entry when I can barely finish the first one. No sketches so far, just the idea in my head and some blockouts. All comments and critiques are welcome, I'm still a bit of a noob at Zrbush.
looks pretty cool, I always kinda like looking at AO renders but could you elaborate on what we´re looking at here? is this a render from within a game engine? are you working off a concept? is this a blockout? have you taken any of the props through a complete pipeline?
Great start Ali, not playing games with that blockout :D If you looking for crits at this stage only thing I'd point out is the face, looks like the concept has more delicate features in general. Like thinner lips, less defined nostrils. Can't wait to see this one finished ;)
Able to start and make progress on this now :) Made her crown with some booleans Then I made a blockout of her body and I have started to get more scales in. I began by using a scales brush but found just placing them gave me much nicer result. WIP
I haven't baked anything yet. That is my initial blockout with some pieces started with detailing and turbosmooth thrown on (others don't even have proper smoothing yet). I've fixed the isses on the front part near the valve. I also need to fix the fan covering corners also.
Thanks for the info, I didn't know. Thanks I'll think about doing some more renders! Thanks man, and no I just block it out, refine, blockout, refine ect. I just modeled it like anything else, no super cool workflows just modelin:D Thanks everyone!
@ EpicBeardMan - Thanks man :) will keep a watch on yours! A real quick blockout; went through a few variations trying to produce a different look to everyone else. Icouldnt spend too much time as its my Birthday today XD. Will refine, look at composition before then starting to produce tilables :)
