This years' Global Game Jam is almost upon us. Who's taking part this year? I've gotten myself into a group who're looking at doing some kind of bizarre fusion of video and tabletop game. There was musing about Occulus support at one point. It might be a complete disaster, but at least it'll be an amusing one.
Hello, I'm having this problem when I connect those edges and a weird polygon is created. Backface culling is on so you can see that the normals are fine. What is it and how can I fix it? :(

Hello Does anyone had trouble with rendering xGen hjair and fur with Vray? I used Maya Monday tutorial on xGen, but any xgen stuff I make does not render by vray - it's simply missing from the scene. Is there a fix for that or is it just my bad luck?
I grew up with Max and it'd have no problem creating clean straight UV's, the relax tool was great for that too, but I can't figure out how to do it quickly in Maya. When creating in maya 2015 'sun and sky' it would create a node called 'mia_exposure_simple' which would gamma correct the sun and sky into a linear workflow but now it doesn't, anybody knows why? and also what does the multiplier category under mia_physicalsky do? what does it control?
I am having an issue with the "threaded rope" along the back of the chair. Image shows the view port and one with the occlusion map applied. I have tried set to face, and still comes out super black. any thoughts?
