So I've got this thing started. I'm aiming for some sort of grungy diesel punky walker based on WWII army bikes, vaguely inspired by a Toriyama illustration. We'll see how things develop. Here is a quick concept and blockout for the vehicle
Hey guys! Welcome to my workshop. I'm sure this first post will be updated down the road, but for now I'll post some work in progress of my first set, the Ceramic Warrior for Kaolin. Comments and critique appreciated! Concept Blockout High Poly

Doing a concept blockout of the floor just to get the feel of the floor and how it would fit in the environment around it, also trying to keep the mechanical stuff functional so it just doesent seem like a bunch of random bits and bites smashed into eachother:
Hello friends! It's been an exciting week and amongst the the business I've been working on the blockout for the Land Rover. I have most of the external pieces in place and I'm starting to work towards the interior and undercarriage. I'll be back with updates in a day or two.
It depends from person to person, but i think most of the artists start with a blockout to get the shapes and proportions right and after that going for a mid poly / high poly, this way you will have most of the low poly already modeled. Hope this helps.
Check out Arkham City or Origins, that has crime alley in it hidden around the city. It's a great way to workout a layout for the blockout. Plus get an idea of how the developers did the area itself. Try to give it your own spin ofcourse.
Maybe it's intentional, but your blockout doesn't give quite the same sense of scale as your reference pictures and sketch do. I think increasing the height from the first level to the balcony level would help. The assets are looking fantastic, though.
Been playing around with substance designer lately, trying to learn some decent techniques for generated worn edges and finer details. I need to finish out my blockout asap so i can start modeling my environment =/
Hello again guys! I have been working on that turret today. Made a low poly blockout which I will refine next. Unfortunately I don't have much time to work on it so I'm skippind the detailed concepting phase.
