Yeah there are often scale issues with the models, so it could be that. Forgive me if this is insultingly obvious suggestion but make sure you delete history and freeze transformations before skinning. That is another common cause for scaling problems on import. As for how he holds on to his totem, I wouldn't really worry…
Your hand and foot posts are ok. They are definitely a good start. Spend some time, and just stare at a foot of a hand before you begin sculpting. I find it really helpful to just try and really wrap your head around whatever it is your going to sculpt. Hands, feet, and heads are the hardest so really get intimate with…
Is his coat made out of tire rubber? hehe I like the motion of the cloth but his sleeves really need some wrinkles. His coat is also a bit too form fitting. Big leather coats like that hang off the pecs, not wrap underneath them. The coat needs to come off his mid-section more as he moves around.
@Zer02Her0 @Brian "Panda" Choi Sorry totally forgot, about the reference. @Brian "Panda" Choi Face is tragic I know... but I wanted to wrap the project up since it's taking way too long. About the arms, last time I checked they do reach the point you are talking about it's just that they are bend so they might seem like…
Block out update #2, I will aim to reduce the light around the middle section and have it in a more cool colour so the main focus points will be the entrance point on the left where enemies will enter and their destination on the right, will see how this middle colum looks after ive added foliage to it and finished the…
Hey Polycount, Just wrapped this project up and I've posted it to artstation. There's a break down on there too for anyone who might be interested. Overall the project took about 2 months, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Cheers for the support throughout this one! Let me know what you think :)…
sheeeit it begins. just snagged the witcher 2. started playing oblivion again recently but on 360, and after putting 40 hours into it so far just cant justify grabbing it on pc. ill wrap my 360 playthrough and then move onto skyrim in a few months. seriously though, if you even thought about getting the witcher 2, doooo…
Hey guys! Getting closer to wrapping this up! i wanted to showing two different lighting methods I tried for this guy. The first one is a regular three point light setup, and the second one I kinda followed a tutorial on lighting. I like the second one more, but if anyone has any suggestions let me know! thank you!
is it possibl to make another rig with the same joint position, all connected to one root, and the same place as the maya rig. Connet the translate, rotate, and scale. Then bake aniimation to that joint? How does the skinning work on that second rig tho? So i only export the combined mesh and the second rig as the skeletal…

Looking forward to seeing your progress @Beccenstein Really enjoyed seeing how you broke down the scene, I was way too intimidated to even…
