you should try and model an entire human, because most muscles of the torso connect to other bodyparts(pecs to arms, lat to neck, abs to legs...). And understanding these connections is essential to building a human sculpture.
Just a tiny thing: the tail...just before it connects to the body in the side profile, it seems to get smaller. I'm not sure that would happen...I think it's largest where it connects to the body (on most creatures)
I'm putting this thread out of its misery. Miami Connection is the film. Watch it. It'll change your life... okay maybe not. http://drafthousefilms.com/film/miami-connection New film coming up...
Select the edges you want to connect, that will bridge the edge(s) you want to create. Use the "Connect" tool dialog box. Adjust the Slide amount. The added edge won't affect the silhouette of the object.
So "neon" version is coming :) I need your comments, guys. Please check updates and support us on the Unity Connect page Please check updates and support us on the Unity Connect page
I did tried to do exactly what you did, but the "Multiply" node that was connected in the distortion is not possible to be connected in Shader forge. Here is what will happen: Author of ShaderForge says refraction needs vector2.
no. its a fact that a multi cut tool in maya is better than cut and connect(2 buttons for same work) in max. not sure tho if mayas multi cut tool can incremens in n% steps. if it can do that in multu cit, its superior. in modo i can increment in 5% steps while connecting 2 edges with edge. (max: connect tool)
Hey everyone, Quick modelling question, I am making a building with four walls. It is one mesh, but the four walls are not connected. It does not raise the triangle count, but it does raise the vertices count. Is that a bad thing? Should I subdivide the walls and connect the vertices? Benton
OK i know how to use the connect edges tool, it adds another edge inbetween the two you have selected right? But how can that help me? Say i have a large square block for a wall, how is connecting edges going to help me inset an arch into that wall? Also, does connecting edges contribute to the poly count?
This is getting tiring, but err.. with override turned off, how can I have connect edge and connect vertex set to the same shortcut? I had 'connect (no dialog) (poly) set to shift-ctrl-e (the default) in 'main UI', and I deleted the shift-ctrl-e shortcut in Editable Poly. So why does it still only work for verts?
