Make sure you have a driver loaded for it, well more of just an .inf file for the device manager so Windows knows what it is. See if there are any utils to make it go into a standard (non-wide) mode.
Sorry for the double post but I thought I should mention that I opened up the .ma in a text editor to check for the #QNAN and #INF issue and didn't fine any instances of either, so that doesn't seem to be the problem...
It should be there for the 3.17.1. See the xNormalSBM_Maya2k11_x64.mll file in the x64\maya_plugins folder. I don't see your UVs mirrored. There are not in range (-inf,0] or [1,+inf). If there is a UV seam the light won't be continuous. Perhaps 3dsmax solves that using some black magic ( like auto UV-welding with very…
Two more problems that are usually easy to fix: search for QNAN and #INF and replace with a 0. Sometimes Maya gets an infinite number (the second one) - and the first is not a number. You'll see a camera transform in the .ma file that's like: 23.QNAN so if you replace it with a zero it will work.
I re-installed my os from scratch with the new beta drivers, and it's like night and day. I'm at 25fps outside at 1024x768, HDR, high detail, extra tree/grass distance etc. But the lack of object shadows is still irking me. I'm checking the .inf for extra settings and such.
I asked chat GPT to make me script using same idea. Packing matID as UDIMs pattern 4x4 first then normalize for selected objects . Took it seconds and it understand the idea quicker than a typical programmer adding extra helpful features I have not even thought about like working with 12 materials and doing 4x3 pattern .…
Use the DH Mod Tool here: http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/ This modifies the normal ATI drivers to install on Mobility cards. To use it, download the normal drivers from ATI, and try to install. You will get the same INF error. Then run the mod tool and click "Go Mobile!". This will then start the installer again, and…
I <3 everything in this thread! I loved the hell outta Bioshock Inf. (just dumped everything in my reference folder) and that Creaturebox model you snuck in there at the end is just pure boney goodness. I love how well those guy's concepts translate into 3D every single time I see someone do it. Awesome work!
I just wanted to add that Malcom's fix worked for me as well. There were some hiccups with the catalyst installer giving some errors (couldn't find inf. file was one), but after going through it a couple more times and actually not using safe mode (don't know if that matters)my UV editor in 2012 is running the way it…
