Maya camera info to After Effects

Does anyone know a simple way to get camera information from Maya 2011 to after effects?

I'm doing an animation which is being composited in after effects. Usually the guys i'm working with use Cinema4D and all they need to do is export an image sequence in .RPF format and check the "export camera info" option.

Maya doesnt support .RPF but it can export .RLA which is a format that can hold camera info. I've looked about online for tutorials but they are all dated. They seem simple enough but require that I export the camera seperately as an .MA file. And I think its a little messy when you bring it all together in after effects.

There must be an easy way to get cam info into an .RLA file. Maybe its something to do with render passes and ID tags but I know very very little about them.

Any Ideas?
