Hi Our game was released today. Hopefully the publisher decide to go America and EU. Please turn off sound because my voice included a bit. not quite. like noise. http://vimeo.com/49836140 I did the fx,env, shader GLSL Unity 3.5 3G to New Ipad . Thanks
https://vimeo.com/168470822 Really liked the design of this character, so many angles and mass. Probably should have kicked the door or pushed it open like Aragon from LotR, maybe next time. Been having more fun assembling shots and playing with cameras than fully polishing the animation. Rig / Env available Here
Adam passed the art test that we gave him, and will be getting a nice contract gig, lasting for roughly a month. He'll be helping me with prop and enviornment texturing. Since I'm the only env artist here, it'll be very nice to have some quality help. Again, congratulations, Adam. You're my texture biatch now! muhaha
Hi everyone, Does override_vpk still work the same way it did before Reborn for custom matches? I am trying to set up an env to test custom vfx on abilities and can't seem to get any of the changes I make in /content or /game to show up at all using -override_vpk Thanks, Jeremy
I just found out through grassetti's Facebook update that cafe fx has shut down .Whats going on in the industry ,with so many gud studios closing up ,and a one like cafe fx , which is been there for 17 years . Really sad to hear the news . Hopefully everyone there lands up on their feet real soon. copied from grassetti's…
Nice hacks you got in there, but in production env that would be to slow, and the final result is not that good, shading errors, maybe that can be corected. Here is something like what you made but in 1 min....nurbs and converted to mesh. Fusion Power :) ).
Yes, though I think there should be a seperate, team category. Like a character in a scene with a mount. Let an env artist team up with a character artist and concept artist. or however you want to do it. mix and match 3 people.
Lights! Your env needs them! No ones gonna see any art in the dark lol. Take advantage of UDKs fancy lighting, even if it's just with gas lamps/candles and dynamic lights. Your shooting yourself in the face otherwise. Gud luck with it :)
What are you hoping to achieve with this project (its for a class, so whats the assignment)? Whats your time frame? Is this going to be part of a larger env or a stand alone asset? The more info you provide, the better your work can be critiqued. :) -William
Hey man - please tell me more! I think in previous UDK env's, I edited the normals of my foliage to get better lighting results. It's been a while, though, so I'm hoping to hear what others have to say.
