Max .obj vert re-order problem
Is there a way to export from Max 2010 into Zbrush WITHOUT it messing up the vert order? I can't seem to find a solution to this problem. I wasn't a problem in Max 9, but in 2010 I can't find any settings that don't mess up the vert order when taking a mesh back to Zbrush. I need the vert order to stay in tact for morph… -
Artifacts in normal baking a cylinder shape like obj
the shape is a fuel can, and im still new to this hard edges soft edges baking thing :/ im using fbx file format, with a basic cylinder unwrap. But i still have lots of artifacts especially on the cap. Also how the hell do i make the cap SHARP, the normal is really soft. This is a game asset so i cannot put supporting edges -
baking proccess for instances low poly obj that occupy the same uv space
so i have straps all over my character. i want to make those straps with the same texture in the same uv space. How do i go baking this kind of shape? do i just put one high poly on one of the low poly and bake it? im using substance match by name baking -

Hi everyone :) I thought I could opened a .max model I bought in blender but it's actually the .3ds that we can open :( I tried online converter but the file is too big (70mo) I also tried to install the trial version of autodesk 3dsmax but I keep getting error when downloading... Does obj export setting metter to normal map baking?
Hi..Guys I got this issue for days, and just found that here's best place to seek the anser.:) here's my issue with normal map. MODO 901 new bake preview - bake from obj to render output?
Hey all, I want to bake some maps from the high to low and fix my cage on the fly if I see errors in the preview. Is there a way to tell the bake preview to act like 'bake from object to render output' and assign cage or ray distance for the preview?
