Hello! This is another tank that I did for the same project as the Aquilon-7. The tank together with the second pack of cannons and a ram contains ~ 46k trigons. I used blender to create mesh, modo for bevel backing, and 3D coat to create textures & UV. Artstation also contains more renders, shooting animations and…
yea definitely should of messed with the levels before i submitted. but this was influenced by bulgarov, paul peperra, and real tanks. the design is mine, but since its a tank with legs, it feels similar to bulgarovs' one day tank. i mainly use their renders for reference to model small details rather than the large shapes.
So, I'm building a Sci-Fi Tank Arcade Shooter for CryEngine 3 with my mates online, kindof a throwback to Westwood Studio's 1999 Recoil, with a heavy narrative element. No first person shooter stuff - there won't even be any humans in the game - just tanks from 3 unique Sci-Fi races of machines. Everybody is a Robot in…
Hello everyone! I'm new here, so I'd like to introduce myself by putting here my tank, made of 15k tris, and 3 textures. I'm fascinated about optimizing 3d models, and hope I will learn something new here. Please tell me what you think about my tank! model

I like the tank as is. Just make the texture more exciting. Add damage, and some pin up art to it. I like the the fact that the thing looks like it has a face. I would add something to the hole so it looks like there is a person in there or something that looks like teeth. You can also add a machine gun to it, maybe make…
hmmm. i would say that there is is no need to have all those wires in your low poly, they will just be a pain to unwrap and bake and texture, you better off just baking them to a alpha plane with a nrm map, or just baking them into the side of the tank. That is just my 2 cents though. baking is just a test of patience…
