This way of thinking is a huge problem and why people constantly pirate things. Why do you feel you deserve to play this game, watch this movie, listen to this music if you can't aford it? The awnser is you dont deserve it. You have no need to play video games. They are a luxury. And if you cant afford luxury items you…
Pryzern: Yea, I agree with you, eyes a bit wider. I actually drew this super zoomed out in photoshop with a big brush and hardly compared lol. I guess I was mainly trying to get the large forms looking right. Drawing is def. a weak point for me anyway, I don't get much practice. I just remembered I actually created this…
@ceebee, while I agree with you - let's not forget that Valve itself started out as a massive gamble. Without Gabe Newell's Microsoft millions to buffer the development schedule (the first iteration of Half-Life 1 was not that great, so they reworked - how many devs get that chance and not screw it up, with everyone…

I took NSCC's game dev program in Truro, about an hour drive from Halifax. In the first year, there is a broad range of coursework from web dev to motion graphics. In the second year you can choose from three concentrations - 3D, game design, or motion graphics. Some of my classmates disliked the varied courseload but I…
