its not too bad you have outlined the shapes on that arm but the depth of form is not there yet, you just need to take the next step after this. Its hard to explain, Im no pro with anatomy myself. could be a good idea to check out ufc dudes and boxers/kickboxers etc to get a good build on this guy… -

You might consider the Nikon DX 35mm 1.8 if you're looking for a "normal" lens on a crop body like i was, its 52.5mm equiv on a nikon crop body, as fast as your 50 and only $200-250. Looks like they dont make a 28mm 1.8 like Canon does, which is a shame, only the $2500 28mm 1.4, which is just nuts.… -

Also keep in mind that the important elements in a photo are almost never on the edges, so having soft edges isn't all that detrimental. I have the 50mm 1.8, and I've taken photos at 1.8 a lot. Yes it is always better to split off your alpha stuff if it is only a small % of the asset that needs alpha, the reason is simple, a 1024x1024 texture with 24 bit(standard) is 1/4 the size of the original texture, and a 1024x1024 32 bit(with alpha) is only 1/2 the size when compressed.
