If you're interested in questions about the self and a bit in religion, I suggest some of this stuff: -God and other minds by Alvin Plantinga. You'll learn much about the classical proofs for god and natural atheology (problem of evil and that stuff). It's a piece of analytic philosophy, you'll hardly find anything better…
Arc Productions, a Canadian based CG animation and visual effects facility located in downtown Toronto is looking for Lead Lighters to join our team. Hey gang, I have an idea I wanted to run by you folks first before I did anything or made any changes. This is just a passing idea I have had a few times in the past after visiting conceptart.org. I know over there they have the "Sketchbook" subforum with thread of users sketchbooks and daily little doodles and progress.…
Felt that pauldrons didn't read well at all and looked like a mess so I'm reworking them. Put that hawk head there as a joke, but I quite like what it looks like, I'll see if I will carry it out. Obviously make the head more sculpture like and stylized-mech looking.
Hi! I didn't really planned to do whole character. I have sculpted a head and then tought it may be worth to do full (game) character from it just for training and portfolio. I baked maps and painted textures for head so far. I would like to hear what you guys think about it.
[IMG][/img] 3 variations from no.5 of the second batch :) Ill probably be moving onto the final concept from here, presuming all is a ok with the director haha. Ill give a little explanation on the sketches as they are meant to be rough and not everything is clear. so going from left to right and top to bottom. 1) A…
I feel you might have rushed ahead a bit as the head still needs a lot of work. If there are closeups/cutscenes this will let the rest of the character down. A lot of the lumpiness of the sculpt is hidden by texturing/sss effect but I think it would be good practice for you to keep working on the head.
Wow the art direction is pretty stunning. Gorgeous looking game. Really reminds me of living in the Med. Hope they can iron out all those glitches; meshes popping in wrecks my head. I see it too much in Skyrim. I also agree with the faces looking 'off'. They don't seem stylised enough for the rest of the game; plus yeah…
So I went ahead and started with the head first. Worked on the skin texture mainly in substance painter (although textures were baked in toolbag 4 as i get better results) Decided to set up render in toolbag 4 (will probably give UE5 a chance later date) but here is a basic real time render of the head so far.
