Has anyone here used height data to create a highly detailed terrain? I've got some lidar data and have been trying to get a DEM out of it, but it's not going well.
This is for a project in a class of mine. I'm currently reworking on the lowpoly, but the small details on the high poly still need to be worked out, I think. I changed a couple details, like the direction of the deer heads. I thought the heads facing inwards felt a little awkward compositionally, so I faced them outward.…
Hey guys, I am no longer actively developing this, but as there's a lot of interest in it I decided to release the source files for the last version I worked on some months ago. Feel free to pick it up and continue dev and add features. The script has 2 functions, the workplaneon and workplane off commands. Basically…
Here's a script that will read through a text file, use line breaks as a delimiter, and show each line associated with timeline frame, starting from 0. Useful for synching animations with dialog or notes, which is really hard to do if your text is in a separate app. It's crazy that maya doesn't seem to have any native way…

"Go indie" comes up alot in layoff, studio closures or just general quality of life threads. So indie guys, it's time to give us some real information - is it possible to make an equal amount of money in indie game dev as a studio or freelance job?
Chasing a concept artist at Defiant Dev in Brisbane, it is an on sight gig. Any questions let me know! http://www.tsumea.com/news/250118/concept-artist-wanted-for-defiant-development
I'm currently developing a Security Robot inspired by the original Deus Ex game. I realise that it is a bit low poly for what it needs to be but I'm currently making improvements. My plan is to eventually have at least two interesting style of materials. Any feedback would be appreciated!
