Re: 3ds Max constraint questions
An FFD modifier might worfk if you parented it to the body of the helecopter and had it only affect only the blades. Example: Helicopter is straifing right, just lower the FFD box on the right side and raise it on the left, the blades should adjust accordingly as the rotate within the FFD box. -

This was the issue! Clearly it's something to do with the HDRI. Maybe it's refracting darker values from the IBL or something, but I changed the image to a brighter one and got very different results. It also really shows off the details much better. Thank you both for the replies! -

I second this, that orc ass needs saving otherwise nobody will hire you. Seriously though, you're not off to a bad start but these aren't portfolio level works as much as they are studies. Portfolio work should be comparable to the companies you aspire to work for. Avoid anything called "WIP" in your portfolio section.… -

Some quick updates, work has hopefully cooled off a bit, just got to switch off the lazy brain mode. Got some base colours down in UE with super simple vertex blending. Next, substance materials for rock and sand to start that whole thing off! -

Yeh.. for some reason wordpress does that, and I don't know if you have to manually turn off that stupid pop up crap (I didn't see if because I turned it off awhile ago). Zorr check wordpress's options, see if you can turn it off :) -
