(Photos courtesy of Gemini) The PitchI'm a solo dev building Iron Wake, a 1v1 hard sci-fi capital ship combat game in Godot 4.x. The core gameplay loop, UI, and Newtonian physics are already coded in and playable using programmer-art greyboxes.I need a hard surface artist to step in and replace those greyboxes so I can…

LATEST UPDATE: 5/27 PremiseWith a contest taking place in 70s and 80s sci-fi, there truly isn't a more iconic fixture than Back to the Future's DeLorean Time Machine. The way it's brushed stainless met with it's futuristic time traveling components, the style has been unmatched since the two movies were released. I wanted…
If you're referring to that imagine I posted: 1) They were initially Tweets, so they had to be kind of truncated. 2) They were written fast after reviewing 80 - 100 portfolios. 3)They were on my phone and I have goofy thumbs. :) But, in general, yes. Spell check and editing are good things.
If I remember right ( haven't read it since the early 80's ) the africans were portrayed as monkeys. personally when I want to feel reduced to an ornament/caricature I just rent breakfast at tiffanys :nerd: ( it's especially fun to watch with your children for the first time. hah! what fun.. )

Difficult to say but I'd guess 70-80%. The way I worked that out was by loading up the map with the content missing and seeing all the white and error models. It'd be good to have more maps especially when Valve releases the workshop which they recently announced is being worked on so go for it!
Movable skylight produces DFAO, Stationary doesn't. So by using a cubemap in PPV you can get rid of the DFAO artifacts when your skylight is Movable. Take a look at "Lighting and rendering" part of this article for AO stuff. https://80.lv/articles/rendering-scanned-vegetation-in-real-time/
I'm not even sure what you mean about gama, you mean gama corrected textures? Whats the mean of your dif texture? Make sure they're around 80 or so. How bright is your spec? What's your fresnel values? Are you using the vegetation shader on that bush?
the last couple games I have worked on 70-80% of the assets were outsourced whereas the level artist team was about 15 people strong, placing, lighting, composing environments etc. I would focus on a couple really strong environment pieces that show: lighting, composition and texture knowledge.
