One thing about ethnicity is that you really have to exaggerate. Usually even then, it scales way back when u do the texture. Polypainting on the high can sometimes help. I think the makeup kind of detracts from the ethnicity as well. Still, she looks great so not an issue in terms of having a great character model!
All right... That's the last of 'em. Can't believe I've finished with that part of the project. . . . Oh shit. My vacation's almost over... I'm gonna have to start working again... Aww man... :poly127: Ah well. I'll just have to continue this work in my spare time. Next steps: Silhouette Check Polypainting Retop...
you refering to the uv's for the house?? those uv's i'm not proud of . i just wanted to see how the house would look with polypainting. and i never sized down the textures from its original 1k resolution for the mail box. i will do that next time. and i will make better use of my uv spacing :) . thanks!>.
All I can say is great work so far El Scorcho! The hair is gonna be interesting to see once you start sculpting it. Are you gonna sculpt the bag and sword as well? Anyhoo, I cannot wait to see the polypainting work if you're gonna add color to this model, which would be awesome to see!
For baking, you only need a UV on the lowpoly. If you did any polypainting in Zbrush, that's actually stored in Zbrush as vertex colors, so it doesn't need UVs at all. You can bake this to your lowpoly UVs using a tool like Xnormal, which can understand vertex color saved from Zbrush in a OBJ file.
michaelsuwandi Thanks for the info, i'll try start with base mesh next time and experiment with zremesher more(I tried polypaint and zremesher guides but i couldn't achieve good result just with lips.) Haven't finished sculpting yet, I thought it wouldn't take so much time. Spent at least 20 hours in ZBrush.
Hi, I'm attempting to create a texture map of this so I can project it onto its lowest subdivision, in order to transpose deform as a bent knee: But when I hit New from Polypaint, I get this: which seems to coincide with the lowest subdivision boundaries How do I fix this? :/ I'm at a total loss.
Here is a quick render of the High poly of my baseball bat. I'm new to a lot of texturing and want to create a realistic bat using PBR techniques. Currently I am stuck on understanding how to apply a decent wood grain and then paint it with polypaint, any tips, hints, tricks, tutorials or even just critique would be…
Does anyone know what the heck this is in the image below? The crazy colored strands were made with zbrush fibermesh. For some reason whenever the polypaint colorize button is on these colors show up and I can't figure out how to make them go away. I tried Color/Fill Object and filling it with another matcap or color but…
This is my first attempt to create realistic female head . I am looking for constructive criticisms. I am not expert in anatomy. It could be something wrong or something that can be improved. I use zbrush for sculpting then retopo it in 3D coat and use Marmoset to render. For texturing I hand painted everything in…
