or a mini maxscriptfunction you throw in a macroscript, like this, which can be bound to a key as well. (untested) <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre> macroScript DeleteSelectedPosRotScaleKeys category:"CrazyButcher" tooltip:"Delete selected PosRotScale keys" ( deleteKeys $.pos.controller #selection deleteKeys…
HR has the final say to hire and fire at 3 places I have worked, the bigger the studio/corp the more frequently I have seen this. HR doesn't have a foot in production so they base their descion off your leads and those that you interact with. This what I have seen anyways. -R
feel free to add me as well - thanks :) http://www.linkedin.com/in/robertkist And yes, it pays to be on linkedin. Facebook for pro's or not, HR people definitely search there to find people and contact them. Happened to me a few times already. Also there's job postings in the various groups on some HR people even put open…
...and I don't have max, so I wasn't able to confirm my guesstimation on what the model is supposed to look like. What came into MS3D looked like a handle and a scabbard, but no blade. ASCII art front view: <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre> I HHHHHHH IOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I </pre><hr />
Remove the flash, tried looking at your site/work, but with a horrible flash navigation I closed it which is what HR will do. Flash is annoying to navigate and taking away the ability to save out your images which is something HR dose a lot. Save images and emails them to Art Directors/Leads.

When I was doing my portfolio, I tend to work for about 3-4 weeks/8-9 hrs a day per single asset. Now that I'm working, I'm surprised that I can really do it within 10-14 days/9-10 hrs of work. And yeah, they're all next-gen stuff.
Thanks for your messages fellas. I've received a great number of responses and have pushed them all forward to HR. In the meantime I'll do my best to write a personal response to all that I've received, either that or you'll hear from HR. Feel free to submit apps through our webiste as well.…
My opinion is that you shouldn't bother with a demo reel. Why? you may ask. Well the HR people are probably going to skip right over it as they don't want to spend the time watching demo reels these days. Too many people applying for work and not enough time to go watching demo reels, seriously you're lucky if you can get…
"[...] where the starting salary is 15CAD/hr for QA testers and 19$/hr for 3d artists. That comes to an average of 30K to 40K annually. And these are the bulk of hires, so how is the figure so inflated?" Well, this could also mean that people who are *not* QA testers and 3d modelers are much better at negotiating their…
