Bit of a long description for a simple question, but I recently purchased a bunch of alien creatures to use in a VR game I'm trying to develop, and I was wondering how would I go about editing some of them in ZBrush? They're FBX files, and I've managed to successfully import one into ZBrush with textures and UV maps…
Everything is a balance of pros and cons. Sure, hard edges on a 90° edge will create worse artifacts the sharper the highpoly edge is, and even worse if the edge goes around a curve like around that cylinder hole. If this is a 'hero' asset or will be viewed up close in VR, I'd consider chamfering the edges of the lowpoly…
Well yes, but someone has to make the first push into this tech or else we're never going to see progress. It's like VR. The current solutions still require a bit more sacrifice compared to normal AAA games made without it. But just trying to copy stuff that already exists is boring, as opposed to creating new experiences…
Textures are 1x 4k map for the gun and magazin, and 1x 2k on tthe catridge and shell. overkill for sure, but its only for the renders. And here is the uv map. The gun is built with VR in mind, so i kept a consistent texel density. There is some space left i could've utilized better tho and for scaling down to 2k, there…

I picked up the Nikon D40 a few months ago. Absolutely love it. There's no built-in motor for the body, so the only drag is that if you want auto focusing, you have to buy lenses with motors built in. The stock lens has a motor though, so it's good for most things. I also bought a Nikkor 55-200 VR AF-S and a Sigma 70-300…
I took the 550 seattle bus back, and then the 5 up towards Northgate. If I was wearing a button collar shirt, slacks, and had the enforcer shirt tied around my neck. That was indeed me. I didn't do any of the exhibitions. Not only was I exhausted after my shifts, but I really did not want to encompassed with the huge…
With the next generation of game consoles on the horizon, what should we expect to see from a 3D tech stand point? Things we have already seen include Real-time ray-tracing (RTX) VR and AR High refresh display technologies 120hz and higher. What other technologies could we possibly see if any? What more can newer hardware…
