You can query what tool you are using toolmode.commandmode toolmode.commandmode -- I am swapping here. #movetoolmode.commandmode#Rotatetoolmode.commandmode#nuscaletoolmode.commandmode#select More info here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2015/ENU/index.html?guid=__files_GUID_408F43DA_6C99_4CF5_96D5_78836A5DCB02_htm
Perhaps a bit of a dumb query but I'll ask anyway... :poly142: I have some UV sheets in 3D Max, one of which contains various objects like window frames/glass/plastic objects etc. I want to texture these in Photoshop and so I've exported them at a resolution of 2048x2048. I may just be needlessly confusing myself but I…

Thanks! Could you please tell me where I can find that option? I tried enabling Merge for materials but it did nothing. I also did not get a query dialog when I added an XREF from a file.
i will just lump my mudbox querys in here from now on, i was trying out the paint tools, like color paint, and it just freezes mudbox the second i touch it to my model, also,, i can't find a color pallet to pick colors, whats up?
Yeah, but sometimes you want human beings not machines to help you out. For every 500 search engine queries, I think a human is entitled to one unnecessary forum post.:poly142: Unless it's on a 4th leap year in which they are entitled to 2.

Thanks for the replies and advice..... prefabs sound like the way to go, I'm sure I'll be back with more Unity queries... The Unity community seems to be growing pretty quickly, would be good to have a Unity specific area here like there is for UDK and Cryengine.
@griffitii That sounds good to me, I payed £5 for a script for 3ds Max https://gumroad.com/discover?query=improved%20face%20weighted I have tested it a little, works on very complex meshes and is fast. Good luck with the rest of your project.
Cheers, from reading up a bit it looks like they probably won't cut it if I want millions of the things on screen. I'll give em a shot but I'm not entirely hopeful. What I really want is to be able to generate a mask at runtime and then query it.
