was hoping for a scarecrow update but this'll do nicely:thumbup: -reminds of those toy parachuters you used to get in the 80's. the kind you throw in the air as high as you can and then they float back down and... well that's it really... i'm old:poly141:
mid 80's would be c64 area - or is it amiga, atari, PC, console? any ideas? if you mean 3D - top down isometric 3D or FPS - hiring people sounds like RPG. Could be bard's tale, Eye of the Beholder or a similar game.
some more updates since it's been a really long time. made a leaf generator based on this breakdown https://80.lv/articles/foliage-generation-in-substance-designer/ and i'm trying super hard to finish this cobblestone instead of jumping around to a hundred things
Really depends. It's varied quite a bit for me. At Relic I'm working 40 hours non-crunch and generally 50-65 crunch. At previous places it was a bit more (45-60 non-crunch, 65-80+ crunch). It also depends on the project and such of course.
You're only using about 63% of your UV space. That is pretty low and will result in too low a resolution in your textures and too much wasted memory on empty nothingness pixels. Try and get that up over 80% or so. That will help out plenty.
after playing a bit more, discovering the Missions to get more points, and generally getting better i started getting sucked in... not because it was fun, but because i wanted to level :) moderately fun games, but 80% of them were 1:4 blue:red balanced
Hi @Tomiajayi , you can see my approach to LowPoly design in the link below. https://80.lv/articles/emek-can-ozben-low-poly-environment/ I try to sum up my workflow while working with 3dsmax and unreal engine.
Heh, when the coders are working 80+ hours a week... so do we, so not a lot of free time. Thanks for all the input! Keep it coming! This is definitely helping me see my stuff from other points of view to help trim the fat.
it's just like the whole pmrc crackdown in the 80's over violent and sexual themes in music. Frank Zappa had a great quote in an interview to the effect of "since the majority of the songs on the radio are about love, then by your logic there should be far more love in the world."
[ QUOTE ] Nintendo wiiiiiii has just reinvented this awesome technology from the 80's. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, except for that whole 3D thing we have these days. And depth of sound. More important that who did is first, is that it works. Nintendo's tech seems to be solid.
