Really nice, careful with that dirt though. It makes sense to have dirt on a machine that does excavation or is on a building site or something, but not sure how dirty a tree cutting machine would get. It also looks too uniform - In the concept it looks more localized towards the cutting 'arm' and the legs. It'd be pretty…
Personally I think your scene is to clean. What I mean is you need more dirt, lots more dirt and rubble. The wallpaper could use a bit more color to bring character to the room, then make that bitch dirty.
rddr: that is horrible advice, seriously goldensly: I like it. if you are going to go for the more realistic touch, I think a few small details in the texture would help alot, the dirt overlays are kinda even and uniform, there should be a reason behind each dirt buildup. there should be some clean and (almost) perfect red…
oy this is looking much better man !! just some tiny nitpicks on my end that would send this piece to a further improvement : Bottom lip seems to be way too cut, like she has scars on it , i know its supposed to be the lip meat, but i think its very exagerated now and could use some softening, the same to the upper lip ,…
Do you guys use a specific brush for dirt when modelling tilling textures in ZBrush? Or do you prefer to use a base texture and displace from it? I'm trying to achieve something like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1482056/zbrush_texture_a_001.jpg
Hey guys, I've often seen in some video tutorials like the How to do a SC2 Dark Templar a tool in max named QUICK DIRT. unfortunatly I never found it eaven on the internet. Mabe its an inhouse Plugin made by blizzard wich is impossible to get. Or if u do please someone send me a link or tell me where i can find it, I realy…
I think your textures are your weakest point right now. The texture for your drill feels mostly like a tiling smart material with a couple of generated dirt layers on top. There is no story in it, no personal touches. I know it´s not the same kind of drill but take look at the drill on the left, there isn´t rust everywhere…
It is a nice beginning, but it needs more work. The fabric is a bit too rough. The rope looks too new. Especially considering how dirty the rest is. The dirt is too generic. How did the dirt get there, why no dirt in other places. You forgot the seams. The insets are a bit at a wrong angle. The clothing is also way too…
Hey guys i recently followed this tutorial and adjusted it to my needs (Sun LensFlare) and i was wondering why my dirt element is becoming yellow once im in game, heres an image
