Hello Guys! This is my first time posting here and sorry for not having no WIP. So! This is a project that was inspired by the Ragnosaur demo and i thought it'd be cool to make something like that to showcase my models. This is the first time i make something like this in Unreal 4 so it's pretty basic, but i ended up…
Hello! I have a 3D model of game character with around 200000 poly, My FBX file size is almost 70MB which is far too much for my app, I need the file to be maximum 8MB. I tried to reduce the polygons with the "Reduce polygons" modifier but the model is turning really messed up. My model is a character that will eventually…
Hi guys. I've decided to undertake the SD character art test. Mostly to push myself and learn some new things, but if he comes out good enough I may send him in...see if I can get a job (I wish Ha!) Anyways this is my progress so far. The concept is of a bank robber, with some tights over his head. The brief is quite…
Hello guys, right now i'm working on some buildings and i want broken plaster parts where the brick underneath is coming thorugh that it looks kind of organic like on the picture below. But now i'm asking myself what would be the best way to get the approach done for a game inside UE4. My current thoughts: 1. Sculpt it…
I would think it would show some damage, being stuck in the sand. Look up references for "abandoned machine in the desert" and the like. Not all the damage is going to be in the materials, I imagine an arm like this would show battle damage?
damn opening attachments eats my post... again. I like the detailing on the edges, I like that the spec cuts through the grime on the edge, that's always a nice effect. So thought i share how the render come along. Now here is how it turned out and I will say I already got some feedback and will fix it but thought i see what else I could get. This is feedback i got. Hey everyone! I'm ABR, a self-taught 3D artist about 4 months into learning Blender with roughly 1 month of actual sculpting experience. This is my first major project and I'd love any feedback or critique from people more experienced than me. A bit about me: I'm actually more of a topology person than a sculptor — which…
