Well, using reverse-image-search on your reference, here's a video of the effect (at 8:50) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdD8zDbp2Qo&t=530s This uses a mask inside the "portal" to blend with a cubemap, or if you want to get more advanced and have a "live" view of the next level then you can render the next level to an…
Vray GPU; "Vray" setting (I assume this means to just use CPU for rendering); Literally nothing is changed except the render method, both are Vray. I've been tweaking around with different settings, trying to fix this for over a week. This does seem to be exclusive to Maya/Vray2023 though, as it does not happen in Maya 2022
This may be a silly question but is there a way I can render a model in 3ds max that will show the little dots that represent vertices? I'm only doing this for a small simple model to demonstrate a work in progress image. Thanks
Is this a feature or is there any talk about adding something like this? I found this tut that's cool albeit a bit hacky. This would make Marmoset more of a candidate for being a concept tool. https://80.lv/articles/tutorial-rendering-passes-in-marmoset-toolbag/

What's the end purpose of this lightmapping? Is it just for rendering? If so, I think you may need to make sure you are storing your lightmaps in a 32-bit format so you get a wider range of possible values...? I'm not too sure, I don't deal with rendering and 32-bit stuff often. If not, and this is for an engine of some…
